Varun Sriram joined FOX44 Local News as the Weekend Sports Anchor after spending three years as a sports reporter in Missoula, Montana. He decided he wanted to cover sports for a living at a young age, once he realized his original dream of playing in the NBA was exactly that – a dream.
A native of Lexington, Massachusetts, Varun studied broadcast journalism and political science at Syracuse University before moving out West. While he loved his time in "Big Sky Country" and had many amazing experiences, Varun is thrilled to be back in New England covering sports.
When he's not working, you can usually find him on the basketball court working on his low post moves and trying to resurrect that NBA dream, or enjoying one of the many outdoor activities Vermont has to offer. A diehard Boston sports fan, he's still trying to get over the Celtics loss in Game 7 of the NBA Finals to the hated Lakers.
